Trilhos ativos não pré-compilados, css parece diferente na produção

Meu aplicativo Rails no modo dev funciona e parece exatamente como eu quero, mas na produção parece diferente no chrome e no safari, no safari as imagens do logotipo são carregadas, mas não na fonte, no chrome, a fonte é carregada, mas não na imagem e na entrada os campos são um pouco mais longos e desalinhados no chrome, mas no modo dev tudo fica ótimo no chrome

Eu estive mexendo com isso por um tempo e excluí o público / ativos algumas vezes

rake assets:precompile RAILS_ENV=production 

sem sucesso, o pré-compilado passa sem erros
