Detectando Morte do Cliente em Contratos Duplex WCF

Eu estou tentando construir um SOA onde os clientes podem executar consultas longas no servidor eo servidor responde usando um retorno de chamada.

Gostaria de poder detectar se o cliente desconecta (por meio de desligamento iniciado pelo usuário, exceção não tratada ou perda de conectividade de rede) para que o servidor possa optar por cancelar a solicitação dispendiosa.

Estou testando uma variedade de casos de falha, mas não consigo fazer com que certos manipuladores de eventos disparem.

Casos de falha testados: Matando o processo do cliente após a solicitação. Usando um programa como o CurrPorts para fechar a conexão TCP.

Qual é a melhor prática para lidar com esses tipos de casos de falha? Eu gostaria de poder usar a conexão tcp subjacente para detectar algumas dessas coisas.
