CFQuickDocs Now has CF 9 Docs

Last month I stated that I might not upgrade CFQuickDocs to contain the tag and function documentation for ColdFusion 9. Well, after some good points in the comments, I decided to change my mind. As of today you can now look up CF 9 tag/function info in CFQuickDocs. Just go to CFQuickDocs using your normal method (browser shortcut, search engine plugin, etc.) and you will notice a new "Chose your docs library" link for ColdFusion 9 at the top. Enjoy!

Thank you so much. As I have told you in the past I've always got your site open in a tab whenever I am writing code.

At our past two CFUG meetings I've had people lament to me that you weren't going to update your site for CF-9. I can tell you that there are a lot of developers here in Michigan that applaud your effort.

Thanks Jake. I don't know that I've seen a better way to look up docs for any language/toolkit/environment that I've used.

Very cool.

Incidentally, why are you still defaulting the siteto CF 7? I would think it's time to update the default to CF 8. I'm OK with making CF 8 rather than CF 9, since the majority of us are not working with CF 9 fulltime yet.

Yeah, that's a good point Brian. I hadn't thought about it actually, especially since it remembers which version you chose the next time you come back. But it's probably time to make the default CF 8.

Jake,

Thanks so much for updating CFQuickDocs to include CF9. I'm not currently using CF9 at the moment, but I know when the time comes that I'll instinctively go to CFQuickDocs to lookup various tags and functions. I use it everyday.

Thanks again,

Sam
